A RHA recent involvement – erection of a house in Batchelor NT
The house has been built by men from Palumpa Chalbit Constructions, (‘Chalbit’ in the Murin Patha language of the Palumpa/Wadeye people means dwelling house.)
Working closely with these community members, are men from the original house build in Gordonvale Queensland. The Gordonvale men formed part of the original work group that built the first house for the Djarragun College. They travelled to the Territory to assist in the building skills transfer for the erection of the newest dwelling.
