Fundamental to Remote Housing Australia's philosophy is the commitment to create sustainable employment and economic activity for indigenous communities and those living in remote areas.
RHA will create opportunity for unskilled and semi skilled workers to engage in new apprenticeships and traineeships that will be tailored to the use of this revolutionary new building system.
Many of the duties and positions created will provide an excellent fit to the skill-sets of the local population in remote areas. RHA has formed a collaborative relationship with Djarragun College, which will set the sound basis for initiating delivery of Cert I through to Cert III in Carpentry and associated skill certification.
The RHA model will link directly into other training and employment services currently offered by Federal and State Government i.e. STEP and CDEP. The simplicity of the erection process offers a unique opportunity for new home owners to generate significant 'sweat equity'.
